Canoe Raccoon Creek
Paddling is a great way to take in the scenery of the Raccoon Creek valley. Every bend in the creek reveals a new vista of woodlands and wildlife.

Raccoon Creek is normally navigable from March through June. The USGS gauge on Raccoon Creek at Moffet Mill should read 2.2 feet or above. At this level, the creek has a Class One rating.

Every paddler who uses the Raccoon Creek Canoe Trail launch sites assumes personal liability. Your safety depends on your skill level, common sense and good judgment. Sharp bends and fallen trees are very dangerous at flood levels.

You should not canoe Raccoon Creek if the current is too strong for you to stop and back away from a fallen tree or obstruction.
Raccoon Creek flows through privately owned land. Respect the rights of property owners by obeying posted signs. Do not litter. Do not build fires.
