About Raccoon Creek Watershed Association

Our Mission

The Raccoon Creek Watershed Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to:

  • Protecting and conserving the natural resources of the watershed;
  • Restoring water quality, scenic beauty and wildlife habitat through abandoned mine reclamation;
  • Promoting local interest in, and support for, watershed restoration and outdoor education activities.

We seek public support and financial and technical assistance from federal, state and local sources to assure the watershed's protection and sustainable development.
